The department provides the following services:
- Advanced Genetic Analysis: Linkage disequilibrium (LD), microarray, and mitochondrial gene enrichment analysis.
- Custom Primer Design: Customized primer design for specialized genetic studies.
- Whole Genome Sequencing and Analysis: High-throughput sequencing and bioinformatic analyses for genetic research.
- Bioinformatics Solutions: Data-driven solutions for genetic and molecular studies.
- Nucleic Acid Isolation: Isolation of circulating free DNA (cfDNA) and fragmented DNA (fDNA).
- Genotyping: TaqMan, KASP-PCR, and sequencing-based SNP genotyping.
- Microbial identification and characterization: Molecular identification of bacteria (16S rRNA PCR & sequencing, identification of virulence/resistance genes) and fungi (18S rRNA/ITS PCR & sequencing, identification), plus microbial DNA fingerprinting.
- Rapid Infectious Disease Diagnostics: Detection of targets such as SARS-CoV-2, Helicobacter pylori, and others. Notably, the department aims to commercialize in-house developed diagnostic kits for H. pylori and SARS-CoV-2.
- Gene Panel Development: Creation of targeted gene panels for genetic disorders. The department focuses on commercializing its in-house developed thrombophilia gene panel (targeting five genes).
