The department provides the following services:

Nucleic Acid Vaccine Laboratory (NAVL)

  • Development of innovative vaccine approaches and applying these technologies towards other ranges of emerging pathogens, epidemic diseases, and for pandemic preparedness.
  • Understanding the antigenic landscape of virus surface glycoproteins
  • Preclinical and clinical evaluation of novel vaccine candidates.

Clinical Biomanufacturing Unit (CBMU)

  • Process development for Pre-GMP manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing optimizations to improve the production yield of vaccines and biologics.
  • Early phase I/II GMP manufacturing for vaccines and other biologics.

Molecular Microbiology Laboratory

  • Evaluating antimicrobial activities: antibiofilm and virulence, microbial culture characterization, DNA/RNA isolation, biofilms analysis, anti-quorum sensing activity, and regional antibiotic resistance patterns.
  • Synthesis of eco-sustainable green nanomaterials and their application in medicine.
