Goals

1. Developing students' scientific knowledge, enabling them to gain a deep understanding of educational policy issues, their philosophy, theories, and the variables influencing them.
2. Providing students with the skills to help them analyze and formulate educational policies based on philosophical and intellectual theories in the educational field.
3. Training students to design entrepreneurial projects and conduct scientific research in the field of educational policies.
4. Developing students' research and professional performance to meet the needs of society in the field of educational policymaking and development, keeping pace with modern educational developments.

Program System

• The curriculum and thesis system: 30 credit hours.
• The curriculum and research project system: 36 credit hours.

Degree Requirements

• Pass all courses in the program with at least (good) grade.
• Passing the final discussion of the scientific thesis, in the study system with courses and thesis.
• Have a  minimum GPA in the program of  3,75 out of 5.
• The  duration of obtaining a master's degree should not exceed the statutory duration of the program.

Knowledge and understanding, the student is expected to be able to:

• It discusses the foundations, principles, and theories upon which educational policy science is based, its development, factors, and relationship to sustainable development and educational investment.
• It explains methods for forecasting the future of educational policies and their analysis.
• It discusses approaches to conducting scientific research and their statistical methods in the field of educational policies
• It explains methods for designing and adopting pioneering educational programs.

Skills, after the end of the program, the student is expected to be able to:

• Analyzes educational policies, their development, the factors influencing them, their planning methods, and their relationship to sustainable development, educational investment, and community partnerships locally, regionally, and internationally.
• Utilizes research skills in designing pioneering programs and conducting scientific research in the field of educational policies and their forecasting.

Values, independence and responsibility, the student is expected to be able to:

• Appreciates scientific values and research ethics.
• Assumes responsibility and values teamwork.

1. The applicant must have a bachelor's degree from one of the colleges of education at a Saudi university or recognized university, with a general grade of at least "Good", or hold a teaching diploma or professional license for teaching positions, or have passed the program's supplementary courses with a general grade of "Very Good" for non-education college graduates, provided they have obtained a general grade of at least "Good" in the bachelor's stage.
2. The applicant must have a bachelor's degree from one of the colleges of education at a Saudi university or recognized university, with a general grade of at least "Good".
3. The applicant must pass the (written) admission test and the personal interview conducted by the department.
4. The applicant must pass the university aptitude test.
