Salary

The candidate’s salary will be 75% equivalent to a lecturer’s income according to the researcher’s specialty, in addition to other benefits.

Suspension / Cancelation / Withdrawal from the fellowship program

The following situations could lead to temporary or permanent suspension of the researcher’s contract:

Absence
A full time researcher should live in Dammam or Khobar during the fellowship period. He/she will have 30 days of official vacation in a year, the researcher should ask for permission before going on vacation. The researcher is allowed to enjoy all the official vacations such as the two Eids and the National Day vacation and any unauthorized absences will be administratively dealt with.
The researcher is not permitted to work or provide (paid or unpaid) services in any institute, university or company during his/her vacation.

Suspension
In case the researcher needs to temporarily suspend his/her fellowship for a period no more than 10 days, it will be deducted from his/her official vacation days or salary.

Withdrawal
If the researcher wants to withdraw from the fellowship program the following regulations will be applied to him/her:

  • The researcher should have accomplished all the required goals in article A2 for the current year.
  • In case the researcher did not achieve his/her duties that are registered in article A2, therefore the University is illegible to withhold his/her salaries.

Cancelation
In case the researcher fails in accomplishing his/her duties; especially publishing a minimal of 3 abstracts every year under the name of the Institute for Research and Medical Consultations (IRMC) in the Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. Therefore, the University is entitled to end the researcher’s contract and withhold all his/her allowances (Salaries – flight Tickets) and claim previous paid allowances.
