The College of Medicine, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University awards the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) after the successful completion of all courses and the internship-training program.

Postgraduate Programs

The College of Medicine has pioneered postgraduate medical education in the Kingdom. The Arab Board of Specializations, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties recognized the College of Medicine’s postgraduate programs for Medical Specialties in the 1979-80 academic year. Currently the College has 17 programs in clinical disciplines that lead to the IAU Fellowship. The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has adopted a majority of these programs. The College also offers six master degree programs and one doctoral program in the pre-clinical disciplines. Other postgraduate programs are currently in development. 

Objectives 

  • Establish well-structured and accredited training programs to qualify highly skilled and knowledgeable specialists in different clinical disciplines.
  • Establish postgraduate programs in basic medical and clinical sciences towards MS and PhD degrees.
  • Enable the graduates to understand modern concepts in medical education planning.
  • Ensure that graduates are well acquainted with modern research technology methods in both basic and clinical medical research.
