Overview
In line with the aspirations of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in service to the Eastern Province community and the legal profession, the Department of Law has been working since its establishment in 1435 AH to recruit the best legal academic talents. The department ensures their development by sponsoring them for specialized legal studies and engaging them in training and professional development programs related to higher education and modern teaching methodologies, to enable those talents to efficiently and effectively transfer legal knowledge and skills to their students.
The department offers the Bachelor of Law program in addition to several legal courses in other academic programs within the university. Furthermore, it is working on developing diploma and postgraduate programs specialized in law, in accordance with the college's strategic plan.

To prepare legal professionals with strong academic knowledge, legal expertise, practical experience, and competency in addressing contemporary legal challenges while serving the community. The department also aims to provide a legal training environment that integrates tradition with modernity.

Objectives
- Equip students with fundamental theoretical knowledge in various legal fields while linking them to Islamic jurisprudence and the legal system of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Develop students' legal skills, and skills of Islamic jurisprudential and its methodological principles.
- Prepare graduates who are taking pride of their Islamic and national identity, to be responsible, and uphold high ethical and moral values.
- Enhance students’ legal research skills and empower them to be lifelong learners with strong personal and self-development capabilities.
- Provide the legal job market with graduates proficient in legal sciences and skills, capable of continuing their education, and qualified to contribute to governmental, private, and non-profit sectors.
- Contribute to spreading legal and judicial awareness among community members.
