The Biology Department is one of the academic departments in the Science College. It was established in 1399-1400 AH / 1979-1980 AD. Since its establishment, the department has been striving towards excellence and leadership in the life sciences and has planned to explore ways to improve the educational process and its output. The department is dedicated to preparing graduates to enroll in various fields of life, education, health, development projects, and public sectors.
The department awards a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Life Sciences, Cell, and Molecular Biology, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology), in addition to a Master of Science degree in Zoology, Botany, and Microbiology. The department is run by highly qualified staff including academic, administrative, and technical, and has 10 state-of-the-art laboratories fully equipped.
