Basic Sciences Department

Description

The Department of Basic Sciences is one of the departments of the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supporting Studies. It serves all tracks: Health Track, Nursing College Track, Public Health College Track, College of Computer Sciences Track, Engineering College Track, Architecture College Track, Design College track, Science College Track, College of Science and Humanities Track, and College of Arts Track.  DBS offers basic science courses that prepare students for their future university majors. 

Aims

The DBS aims at:

1. Developing students’ abilities skillfully and scientifically in order to pursue their future university majors.
2. Equipping students with 21st-century skills required for achieving success in life and work.
3. Offering quality services to students.
4. Promoting and enhancing the professional development of the academic staff.
5. Creating a supportive, motivational, stimulating environment that helps in developing research skills and encouraging scientific publishing.
6.  Developing and building the BSs courses according to the latest future requirements in order to cope with scientific progress.
