Dear Students, Faculty, Alumni, Partners, and Friends,

It is with immense pride and a profound sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the College of Engineering at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. Our college stands as a candle of innovation, a crucible where theoretical knowledge is forged into practical solutions that address the world's most pressing challenges.

We are living in an era of unprecedented technological acceleration. Fields like clean environment, sustainable energy, smart city, and biotechnology are not just evolving; they are converging. This creates a landscape ripe with opportunity for those equipped with a robust engineering education, a creative mindset, and a deep sense of ethical responsibility. This is the exact environment we cultivate here.

Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the College of Engineering at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University embraces the responsibility of preparing a generation of engineers capable of contributing effectively to the national transformation. We do this through educational, research, and community programs that support the building of a prosperous economy, a vibrant society, and an ambitious nation.

The College of Engineering comprises six academic departments: Civil and Construction Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Transportation and Traffic Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, and Marine Engineering. The College is also working on developing additional specialized programs such as Safety Engineering. The first five departments have successfully completed the accreditation visit by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and received full accreditation, reflecting the College’s commitment to the highest global quality standards. Meanwhile, the Marine Engineering program is in the process of completing its accreditation requirements and is expected to submit its accreditation documents in the near future.

It is also noteworthy that the College currently offers six master’s programs, including: Master of Engineering Management, Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, and Master of Safety Engineering. The first five programs are currently in the preparation stage to obtain academic accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), while the Master of Safety Engineering program was recently launched and will complete its accreditation requirements soon. Furthermore, the College is actively working on establishing additional master’s and doctoral programs in specialized fields tailored to meet labor market demands and national development needs. The College has also achieved one of the highest performance indicators at the university in terms of completed projects and registered patents, which reflects the competence of its faculty members and their effective engagement and collaboration with companies and industries.
